Ottawa Public Health will be holding immunization clinics at Sacred Heart on ,8,9.
These vaccines are publicly-funded, and available at no cost to you.
All students in grade 7 (born in 2004) and all female students in grade 8 (born in 2003), will receive vaccine
consent forms this week for hepatitis B, human papillomavirus (HPV) and meningococcal disease at school. PLEASE BRING CONSENT FORMS BACK FOR DAY #1 OF THE CLINIC.
Grade 7 students will be offered hepatitis B, human papillomavirus (HPV) and meningococcal disease vaccines to be given at school. Grade 8 female students will be offered human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV).
On the day of the school clinic, remind your child to:
· Eat a good breakfast.
· Bring an extra juice or a snack to school.
· Wear short sleeves or a loose shirt so that his or her upper arm is exposed easily, without undressing.
· Bring the consent forms with them to the school clinic.
Students who miss a clinic will be able to receive the vaccine at the next school clinic.
