On Friday, September 25th, 2020 students in grades 7 will be taking part in the annual Terry Fox School Run during their Physical Education Classes. All Grade 8 students will participate on Monday, September 28th.  Students will jog or walk along theTrans Canada trail that is located just in front of Sacred Heart Catholic High School.  Class cohorts will participate during their regularly scheduled physical education class.

Our school is proud to play an important role in keeping the legacy of Terry Fox going.  Students will have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the heroic efforts of Terry over the next week as well as raise much-needed funds for cancer research.  Through our participation in the Terry Fox School Run, we hope to encourage leadership in our students and help foster an active lifestyle.

Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated. Students are not required to donate in order to participate in the run/walk.  All money raised will be forwarded to The Terry Fox foundation.  Donations can preferably be made through School Cash Online.  Alternatively, a cash & change drop off receptacle will be available for students.

We are very excited to be a part of this year’s Terry Fox Run. This is our opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from cancer.

All students are encouraged to wear athletic clothes, proper fitted running shoes, and bring their water bottle. At the completion of the walk/jog students will return to their next scheduled class.
