Family Service Ottawa is leading the field in this area.  We offer 2 parenting courses designed specifically for parents who are looking for ways to support their children through separation or divorce. 

You can count on our programs – we offer them at the same time every year.  Don’t miss them.

Parenting through Separation and Divorce (almost full)

Thursdays, Oct. 15 – Nov. 12, 2015

Topics include coping with stress, understanding conflict and how it affects your children, problem solving, cooperative communication, co-parenting and parenting plans.

Parenting through HIGH CONFLICT separation and divorce

Tuesdays, Feb. 2 – March 8, 2016


Thursdays, Feb. 4 – March 10, 2016

In this six-week course parents will learn the skills needed to improve communication and methods to manage upset emotions. They’ll learn how to use non-reactive behaviours with their co-parent and children. They’ll learn positive approaches to parenting that will support their children’s emotional health and they’ll learn about the impact of ongoing conflict on children.
