Our school play will premiere on April 27 - 29 at 7:00 pm. “Made In Dagenham”, Based on the 2010 film of the same name, which in turn was based on the real events of the Ford sewing machinists strike of 1968.  Made in Dagenham tells the story of Rita and her husband, Eddie.  Rita's job is downgraded to 'unskilled' labour with the corresponding pay cut and we watch and listen to her struggles for equality, equal pay, and the resulting impacts on her family and friends. There are moving odes to sisterhood and friendship, rousing songs for the weekend party, hilarious car advertisements and a front row seat to a 'Donald Trump' style reprimand from the American branch of Ford.  A high energy show with a strong message, witty writing and powerful music this show is destined to become a classic of the genre.  Made In Dagenham closed in London, England, in 2014 and this is one of the first amateur productions of the show.
